classical guitarist

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael Lucarelli began his musical journey on the electric guitar in 1973.  Seven years later, after moving to Salt Lake City, Utah, Michael discovered the classical guitar and began his studies with Peruvian guitarist Ricardo Linares. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Utah, and in 1992, completed his Masters at The University of Arizona in guitar performance.

Aside from the concert stage he has entertained in such prestigious venues as: The St. Regis Resort, Caesars Palace, the Italian American Club, the Venetian, Suncoast Hotel and Casino, Montage, Mirage, Sundance Resort,  Ritz Carlton, Waldorf Astoria,  the historic Arizona Inn, Snowbird, Stein Eriksen Lodge,  Isleworth Country Club, to name just a few.

Some of Michael’s corporate clients include IBM, Verison Wireless, MGM Grand, the National Governors Conference, and Warner Bros. music. 

Michael has performed for weddings throughout the U.S. since 1985 and  some were featured in national magazines including "the Knott" and "Martha Stewart weddings". 

During the 2002 Winter Olympics, Michael had the honor of performing for the Athletes at the Olympic Village. 

Michael has made numerous radio and television appearances including CBS’s "Touched By An Ange"l and KBYU’s "Highway 89", and most recently his music was featured on Warner Brothers hit TV show “Major Crimes”.   He has also entertained for industry notables such as Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks,  Robert Redford, and Arts & Entertainment.

Aside from  performing, Michael has composed numerous works for the guitar (now available on,  released 13 CD's on his label "LMS recordings",  and his music videos on youtube have recieved over 40 million views.
